Which regions are leading in AI investment? And who are the top contributors by number of organizations invested in?

Throughout the observed period, the USA has led in AI funding, experiencing significant growth from 2016 and peaking in 2021 with over $50 billion, maintaining the largest contribution even post-2021. China saw a rapid funding increase from 2016 to 2021 but has since stabilized, holding the second position in funding levels. Europe, with the slowest growth and a much smaller funding share, shows only a slight increase post-2016. The USA's dominance in funding supports its leadership in innovation, while China remains a key contender despite recent challenges, and Europe's structural constraints limit its scaling capabilities compared to the USA and China.
